The Kapil Sharma Show To Return In July With New Additions And A New Format: Reports

There’s good news for the fans of The Kapil Sharma Show. The makers of the show are ready for a new season of Kapil Sharma’s weekend comedy special which has been absent from the small screen since February.

While earlier there was news that the show will be back on Sony Entertainment Television in May, the second wave of the pandemic delayed the show’s arrival. A TellyChakkar report now suggests that Kapil and his troop are gearing up to resume work in July and the show will be back on the small screen later in the same month.

The Kapil Sharma Show is all the rage on TV and if reports are anything to go by the new season will get a facelift with a new format and new members joining the creative team including new actors and writers. For those worried about missing their favorites, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Bharti Singh, Sumona Chakravarti, Chandan Prabhakar and Archana Puran Singh will return to the show.

Like the previous season, the new season will once again be bankrolled by Banijay Asia and Salman Khan TV (SKTV) and the shoot is expected to begin in the first week of July.

Kapil Sharma had earlier confirmed that he took a break from the show to spend time with his family after welcoming his second child with wife Ginni Chatrath. There was also the issue to the show not getting sufficient guests in terms of Bollywood celebrities as there have been very few films releasing since last year.
