TV actress Nupur Alankar opens up about not being able to contact brother-in-law in Afghanistan for 9 days: "hardly able to sleep"

The entire world has been left shaken after the Taliban had captured Afghanistan. Several Indian nationals stationed there had been quickly brought back to the nation. However, many are still stuck there and amongst them is TV actress Nupur Alankar's brother-in-law.

Talking to ETimes, the actress has revealed that the family has not been able to contact him since the last 9 days. She said, "My sister and I have lost touch with him. It's been 9/10 days now since we last spoke to him. I am trying my best to not be pessimistic as that would only increase our anxiety levels. Jigyasa (her sister) is trying her best to maintain a calm exterior. But we are now hardly able to sleep for 2 hours every night."

She further added that her brother-in-law had promised to send the contact number of a person he was with, but they haven't received anything. She said, "He had said he would send us a number of the person he was with at that time, but we also did not get any text of such kind from him." Well, all we can hope for is that Nupur's brother-in-law is safe and returns home soon.
