Urfi Javed recalls shocking experience where producer asked her male co-actor to touch her legs, snatched her clothes

The struggles in the entertainment industry are many. The highly competitive industry has to have everyone giving their best, or getting replaced. At times, this also gives power to producers and casting directors to get things done their way. Casting couch or forcing a female actor to do scenes she is not comfortable with isn't unheard of. Now, Bigg Boss OTT contestant Urfi Javed recalled how a producer of a web series had asked her male co-star to touch her legs and lift her saree, something that wasn't there on the script. She also accused the producer of forcing her to perform lesbian scenes, and snatching her clothes and even threatening her.

Talking to ETimes, Urfi recalled the horrific ordeal and said, "There was a scene where the actor playing my brother-in-law in the show was supposed to look at me, but the producer turned the looking in touching. She made that guy touch my legs and she started asking him to lift my saree so that my underwear gets to be seen, etc. Then I realised that she played with me. But then I had to keep going."

She then revealed, "They made me perform a full-fledged lesbian scene. I was crying on the bed and begging them not to make me do it as I won’t be able to do it. I told them that I cannot do this, and I am sorry. But she was constantly threatening me saying that you’ve signed a contract and I will get you to put behind bars etc. The producer was taking off my clothes and I was begging her not to do that. She literally came and snatched my cloth and I was just in my bra, and the other girl had to also remove her bra."

We wonder who she's pointing at, but we are also glad that she found the courage to open up about the horrific incident.
