Aankh Maarey Song: If You Thought Singham Is All You Would See In Simmba, Brace Yourself!

The Simmba trailer had superhit written all over it. From Ranveer Singh in his crazy energetic element to a super confident Sara Ali Khan and a perfect Rohit Shetty styled action sequences, we couldn't have asked for more from the trailer of the official remake of Temper. But what came as a pleasant surprise for fans is how Singham was merged into Simmba. But if you thought that Singham is all that you'll see as a special appearance in Simmba, then brace yourself for the first song from the film, Aankh Maarey.

Simmba's Aankh Maarey has everything punched into one, so much so that after a point every new twist would feel as obvious as the double cross thingy that Firangi Mallah did in Thugs Of Hindostan (yes, I am still haunted by that film). Well, let me elaborate the pointers here:

1. The "special appearances"

This song is all about special appearances. At first, producer Karan Johar pops up just in between for one frame to deliver one dialogue own his own style.

And when you think that that was all that you would see, then the male actors from the team of Golmaal crops up one by one. First, it is Shreyas Talpade, then Tusshar Kapoor and Then Arshad Warsi. But then again you won't see Ajay Devgn here because we guess the makers were confused whether to bring him as a character from Golmaal or as Singham!

2. Another remix

Yeah, why not just go with the trend isn't it? This song is a remix of Aankh Maarey and dare we say, a pretty bad one. In fact, Karan Johar in his cameo says, "Oh God! Another remix." Yes Karan, you got the pulse right! This one too has been done by Tanishk Bagchi and wait, the original has also been pushed in between. Too much huh!

3. Chemistry? What is that?

See, you'll admit to the fact that both Ranveer and Sara are stupendous, but individually. Both look like firecrackers, but sadly, there isn't any chemistry, not even an inkling of it. 

4. Can Sara get even hotter?

Man, she is confident, she is sexy and we are just swaying with her moves.

5. But importantly, the song has the potential to be the party number.

No, this not contradictory to the points before. If Karan Johar, the producer, approved the song even after getting the pulse, he knows his s**t and quite right about it. In this wedding and party season, where people are looking for new numbers to play, this has the potential to climb up the charts, because hey, ultimately the music is peppy and you won't see the visuals while listening to it, right?
