Actress Bhavana Kidnapped, Molested While Returning From Shooting Spot

According to recent reports, actress Bhavana who played one of the female leads in Ajith Kumar starrer ‘Aasal’ (2010) was kidnapped and harassed in a moving car in Kochi, Kerala, on Friday night. Reportedly, the Nammal actress was intercepted by some men when she was coming back at around 10.30 p.m. from a film shoot in Ernakulam. Apparently, the actress has apprised the police that her former driver, Martin, was the one who intercepted and forcefully entered her car with his friend.

It is also reported that the men kept the actress hostage in the moving car for around one hour. The Ernakulam police have taken Martin into custody and registered a case of kidnapping and molestation. The police have also launched a search operation for the other accused Sunil, who is absconding.

Bhavana has worked in more than 70 films across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada industries. Her Kollywood debut was marked with Mysskin’s 2006 romantic thriller drama ‘Chithiram Pesuthadi’. She hasn’t worked in any Tamil film since ‘Aasal’ but continues to excel in Mollywood and Sandalwood.
