    After making a successful opening in several screens all around the world, Udhayanidhi's new release 'Manithan' has found itself in a legal battle with authorities. The movie that was entitled to entertainment tax exemption by Tamil Nadu State Government was denied by the tax department. According to the provision, the U certified films that meet certain other criteria laid out by government are allowed exemption.

    Earlier, the Tax Exemption authority has reasoned out that 'Manithan' does not qualify for the exemption as its title is not a Tamil word but a Sanskrit. The members have found that Maandhan is the perfect Tamil equivalent for the English word Man. It will be Interesting to know that the actor Udhayanidhi is already fighting a legal fight for being denied tax exemption for his last film 'Gethu.'

    Now, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi star took to his Twitter account to announce that he will file a fresh case for Tax exemption denial for 'Manithan' on May 2. His tweet read, “Will be filing a case against the govt on Monday! Don't know whether I will win or loose! But I Wil keep fighting! #Manithan. The actor-producer’s film has been widely accepted by audiences everywhere which released, yesterday.
