Amala Paul to play weirdo in her next

Actress Amala Paul will be seen doing a cameo in Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam. Thrilled about her role in the film, she says, “When Partheipan sir told me about my role, I was quite kicked as I've never played a woman whose moods oscillate between extremes. She's very hyper, happy one minute, sad the other minute, and gets angry the very next instant. For one of the sequences, I even wore a veshti and shirt, dressed like a man! In the film, Arya is someone who has an illusion disorder of sorts. We are two extremely different individuals and how our personality traits bring problems in our relationship is what our little story is about in the film.”

Amala will appear as Arya’s love interest in the movie who will be seen as her hubby. R. Parthiepan is directing the project. Other than Paul and Arya the flick will also feature Nazriya Nazim, Prakash Raj, Vijay Sethupathi and Surya in the cameos. The flick is already on the floors and will be out to watch this year only. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
