    Actress Amritha is prepping up for her next film titled Padaiveeran which is directed by Dhana, who has earlier assisted Mani Ratnam in many of his films. In the movie Amritha is paired opposite Vijay Yesudas. Apart from these two actors, the flick also features Bharathirajaa in a prominent role.

    The actress who is born in Chennai but brought up in Bangalore said that her love for acting drew her toward films. “I was working in Bengaluru, but when an opportunity to act in a short film came, I decided to take it up. Luckily for me, director Dhana had seen this short film and approached me for this movie," says the actress who is making her debut with the film.

    The movie which is set in Theni will see the actress playing a bold village girl. She says that she did not find it difficult to transform into a village girl. She added, "When you like something, it becomes easier for you to change yourself. In this case, I was very comfortable wearing pavadai and thavani. Only the Theni slang was a little difficulty initially, but the director helped me with it.” Amritha says that though she is born in Bengaluru but she can speak Tamil very well.  She has even dubbed for herself in the film.

    When asked about her experience of working with Vijay Yesudas, Amritha said she did not feel as if she is working with such an experience and an accomplished actor as he was very friendly and made her feel comfortable.
