Anjena Kirti Roped In For ‘Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings’

The shoot of ‘Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings’, sequel of hit 2007 film ‘Chennai 600028’, commenced last month. The shoot of the film is progressing in Chennai and director Venkat Prabhu has made very few new additions to the cast of the sequel. Reportedly, a new actress has been roped in for the film.

According to reports, Venkat Prabhu has brought Anjena Kirti onboard for the flick. A source from the film’s unit confirmed the news and said, "Anjena will be playing the romantic interest of Vijay Vasanth. She has already shot for a few portions which were shot in Chennai and Thenkasi, and had combination scenes with Vijay and Vijayalakshmi. Though some crucial scenes of the film are set against rural locales, she will be seen essaying a Chennai girl in it".

Rumours are doing the rounds that cricketers R. Ashwin and Murali Vijay will also make an appearance in this sports comedy film. The film will be shot in Kutralam, Theni and Thenkasi, apart from Chennai. Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the music for the movie which is being bankrolled under Black Ticket Company banner.
