A.R. Rahman Bails Out Resul Pookutty

Oscar winner Sound Designer Resul Pookutty is worldwide known for mastering each movie with his brilliance. However, his recent project gave me a bit of challenge. His latest release Remo starring Sivakarthikeyan is the one that gave him headache while dubbing Siva as a female nurse.

But, the Resul found a close friend to rescue him, it was Oscar laureate Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman. He offered him technical support for Remo, which Resul refers to be the most challenging movie after Slumdog Millionaire. The pair bagged Oscar together for the same movie in 2009 under the direction of Danny Boyle.

Resul revealed this story during the success party of Remo. Siva’s daring act to play female character was lauded by audiences and critics as well. The flick is being done by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, which marks his debut movie. A.R. Rahman recently gave music for Gautham Menon’s Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada.
