Deepan All Set To Make His Directorial Debut With A Film On Murder Of Politician

Deepan, a short filmmaker, is all set to make his Kollywood directorial debut with Uyil Ondru. Uyil Ondru revolves around the murder of a politician. The filmmaker who is also a VFX supervisor had expressed in the past that his main goal is to tell a story that has not been explored before.

“I don’t see any dearth of commercial films, so I wanted to try something different. Science fiction is my favourite genre and I decided to make my first film in the same genre,” said Deepan. The movie is jointly produced by Maayah Media Work and Aarmzii Films.

The film is still in its pre-production stage and will go on floors either by the end of May or the first week of June. “We started our work three months ago. Vaidesh Hariharan plays the hero. Through simulation, his character would travel to six different worlds,” said producer Armstrong Praveen. Music has been composed by Fred Allen, while cinematography has been done by Ganesh Dhoni.
