Dhanush to pair up with Bollywood star Alia Bhatt in director Vetrimaaran’s next

Reports have been doing rounds since quite some time now that Student of the Year actress Alia Bhatt is planning to mark her Tamil debut in cinematographer-turned-director K.V. Anand's Anegan. But if the latest buzz is to be believed, Aadukalam helmer Vetrimaaran has signed up Alia for his upcoming film which also stars Dhanush in the lead.

It is being said that Bollywood director Imtiaz Ali’s latest heroine Alia Bhatt is quite pleased over the latest development. Following the huge success of Polladhavan and Aadukalam filmmaker Dhanush is reuniting with the director for the third time in the untitled project, to be produced by Cloud Nine Movies. Earlier reports revealed that Udhayam NH4 actress Ashrita Shetty would share screen space with Dhanush in the film but now it seems Alia has snatched the opportunity from the newcomer.
