A Good Year For Dhanush

Actor, producer, lyricist and playback singer Dhanush will yet again be seen on screen for the fifth time this year. His latest film which was earlier titled VIP2 will now be releasing with the name Thanga Magan. The actor confirmed through a post on a social media website that the movie will be released on December 18 – “#thangamagan will release on December 18th #spreadlove”.

Dhanush was first seen, this year, in Shamitabh which was released in February. Shamitabh was followed by Anegan which also hit theatres in February. Vai Raja Vai came out in May, though it only featured Dhanush in a cameo role. Last but not the least, the actor was seen in Maari, which was released in July. Now, Thanga Magan will mark his fifth appearance on the big screen.

Making a debut with Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002), the Kolaveri Di singer set his feet firmly in the industry as an actor. Since then, the versatile actor has taken up many roles in movies like Kadhal Kondein, Thiruda Thirudi and Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan in the early years of his career. Dhanush has also been part of the Bollywood industry with movies like Raanjhanaa and Shamitabh.
