Goundamani’s next a political satire

Veteranactor and comedianGoundamani is set to make a comeback in Tollywood after a long setback. The actor is roped in for a film byArokiadoss and confirms,"Yes, I'll be playing the lead in a film titled 49O, which will be directed by Arokiadoss, a former assistant ofGautham Vasudev Menon."

The director adds tothe actor’s statement saying that the film is a political satire. Whole movie revolves around Goundamani’s character, who is a farmer in the flick. The movie will also demonstrate current issues faced by farmers these days.He further announced,"We are content to label him as a great comedian but Goundamani sir is actually a great actor. He was impressed with this story and said that in his career spanning 600-odd films he has never played a farmer." It is learnt that Somasundaram, Sathyan and VTV Ganesh have also been signed as supporting actors for this venture. The film is to go on floors by September end or by October beginning.
