The pretty face down South, Hansika Motwani, is quite busy these days with her simultaneous Tamil and Telugu projects. But recently she has landed amidst a fresh controversy over the Tamil dubbing of her Telugu film Seeta Ramula Kalyanam Lankalo. She has filed a case with the Nadigar Sangam disapproving the film’s Tamil release.

However the producer of the Tamil version has assured that he has the legal rights to release the film. As Hansika could not be reached for her views on the issue, her mother stated, "She has not filed any complaint. When Hansika signed on to do the film, it was only for the Telugu version. So, when the film released in Hindi, I'd expressed our displeasure to the producer then. Now, the film is going to release in Tamil after years of its original release. This move is just to cash in on her popularity, and we are extremely unhappy."

On the other hand, Sivaprakasam, who claims to have been legally allowed to release the Tamil version of the film, said in his defence,"It is not only Hansika, no actor has the right to stop the release of a film if the dubbing rights have been bought by the producer. We have been informed by the makers of the Telugu film that Hansika has not signed any legal documents regarding the dubbing versions of the film. She cannot say that it cannot be released in Tamil. If the problem continues, we will deal with the issue legally." The film, which stars Nithiin Kumar Reddy in the lead, has also been released in Hindi, titled Dushmano Ka Dushman.
