Here Are Latest Updates On Dhanush’s ‘Vada Chennai’

Filmmaker Vetrimaran’s ‘Vada Chennai’ is an upcoming gangster thriller starring Dhanush as the male lead. The movie also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Amala Paul and Andrea Jeremiah in other significant roles. The film is being bankrolled as a trilogy by A. Subaskaran`s Lyca Productions and Dhanush's Wunderbar Films with Vetrimaran's Grass Root Film Company. There were rumours that the flick was shelved but the latest we hear about the flick suggests otherwise.

It is being said that the movie is on schedule. Recently, a source from the flick’s unit stated, “Dhanush had moved to direct Power Paandi, his directorial debut, and act in VIP 2 only after completing the first schedule of Vada Chennai. Following that, the second schedule of Vada Chennai will begin on March 10. This is going to be a 30-35-day schedule, and the team will be shooting in live locations in Royapuram”.

In addition, the film industry was also abuzz with reports of Vijay walking out of the movie. It was said that due to shoot delays and Vijay’s other film commitments, the actor quitted the project. However, the source refuted the rumours, confirming that the actor is very much a part of the movie.
