    I Want To Act With My Father But I Won't Be Able To Compete With Him: Gautham Karthik

    Gautham Karthik made his acting debut in Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal' (2013) and has since then done four more movies. Currently, the actor is occupied with several projects in his kitty, including Kalaprabhu’s ‘Indrajith’, R. Kannan’s ‘Ivan Thanthiran’, Santhosh P Jayakumar’s ‘Hara Hara Mahadevaki’ and Arumuga Kumar’s ‘Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren’. Recently, the 27-year-actor was present in Coimbatore to promote ‘Ivan Thanthiran’, which will release this week.

    During the promotion, Gautham expressed his desire to act with his father and popular actor Karthik Muthuraman. “I had no idea about Tamil cinema. I didn't grow up watching it. So, I started watching Tamil movies and then spoke to a lot of directors and producers to get an idea about the cine field. I want to act with my father but I won't be able to compete with him. So, I am going to wait till I get better”, Gautham stated.

    Touching upon the movie, Gautham said, “This will be a movie that will be liked by all age groups. It won't disappoint anybody because it has action, comedy, romance and everything”. The actor will be seen playing an introvert youngster from an engineering background in the movie, which also stars RJ Balaji as a comedian.
