Is Vishal's Sandakozhi 2 On The Cards?

N. Linguswamy’s 2005 Tamil action film Sandakozhi became one of the huge hits of the year it released in and garnered rave reviews from the critics as well as the audience. The movie featured Vishal, Meera Jasmine, Rajkiran and Malayalam actor Lal in the lead roles. The movie established Vishal as a mass action hero.

Earlier, it was officially announced that Vishal will be collaborating with Lingusamy for Sandakozhi 2. However, the project was shelved due to an alleged misunderstanding between Lingusamy and Vishal. But now, it seems like the director-actor duo has buried the hatchet.

Recently, in an interview, Lingusamy confirmed that he is emphasizing on Sandakozhi 2 currently to begin the flick’s shooting as early as possible. A source has revealed that the shooting of Sandakozhi 2 will commence in Theni on January 1, next year. Reportedly, Rajkiran will also be seen in the second part, which will feature Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. It is also being heard that music for the sequel will be rendered by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who gave chartbuster tunes for Sandakozhi.

However, official confirmation on the beginning of the shoot is yet to be made.
