    Kaththi emerges as Vijay’s second movie to enter 100 Cr club

    Thriller flick Kaththi which hit the theatres this Diwali, amidst much allegations and controversies, has apparently crossed 100 Cr in just twelve days of its release. The film opened on a sharp note as its name and has been continuing its good run till date. A.R. Murugadoss-directed Kaththi has listed itself as one of fastest films to rake in Rs 100 Cr at the box office.

    With 65.1 Cr in Tamil Nadu and 15.4 Cr in other parts of the country, Ilayathalapathy Vijay starrer Kaththi also collected over 20.2 Cr from the overseas market.     It is reportedly Vijay's second movie which entered in 100 crore club. Interestingly, his first movie which made century, Thuppakki was also directed by filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss. The film which highlights the plight of farmers, whose lives are being destroyed by huge multinational corporations, is mass entertainer with some solid masala moments blended with a social message.
