Maaveeran Kittu Is Based On True Incidents Of Past

Vishnu Vishal starrer Maaveeran Kittu shoot has begin. The flick directed by Suseenthiran is being shot in Palani and is touted to be a thought evoking storyline. Moreover, rumours that the flick is based on the issues of Sri Lankan Tamils are also doing the rounds.

However, a recent statement from the filmmaker has come to settle the speculations. "This film has nothing to do with Sri Lankan Tamils. It is a film which is based on true events that happened in 1985. It's about a revolutionist who lived back then in Tamil Nadu, and fought against many evils in the society”, he clarified.

The director said that the movie will walk through the true incidents of past, but he has also added a fictional element to it. “Yes, the incident forms the backdrop to the film, but I have added a few fictional details to the story, and have even changed the character's name on screen", said Suseenthiran. He has to take these steps in order to avoid any further controversy related to the flick.
