Madras trailer, featuring Karthi-Catherine Tresa, released

The upcoming Tamil flick by director Pa. Ranjith, Madras, is out with its first theatrical trailer featuring the lead characters of the film, Karthi and Catherine Tresa. The trailer introduces George Town as the real ‘Madras’ and the entire clip keeps the audience engrossed.

Director Ranjith, who had an impressive debut with Attakathi, said about his second venture, “The film will portray the life style of North Chennai people. Their life, celebration and also the politics that plays a role in their life style will be highlighted.” After watching the trailer, the film looks quite promising as the characters sound perfect in their North Chennai accent.

Karthi, who portrays a middle-class guy from North Chennai, looks appropriate through his appearance, body language and the dialect while pronouncing the dialogues. It seems the actor has delved deep into the skin of his character and his onscreen partner Catherine Tresa also looks fresh in the film. This is also the first Tamil film for Tresa who has acted in Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu films so far.
