Manisha Yadav Disappointed With Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings

Actress Manisha Yadav was last seen in an item number, Soppana Sundari, in the movie Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings which released last year. Though she appeared in the song, however Manisha has said that she is not happy with the film. The actress, who got married and also recovered from a back injury in this gap of one year, has said that she has no idea that song will be an item number.

In an interview with Times Of India, she said, "I was told it was a special song, which involves a group of friends chilling out. But I was quite upset with the way it came out. I couldn't accept people calling me Soppana Sundari. I had a similar experience with Trisha Illana Nayanthara, in which some dialogues misfired. But at least I knew it was a Delhi Belly kind of film. In fact, these not-so-good experiences also made me opt for a break.”

The actress also said that she has no problem in doing glam roles provided that her scenes are good. "I had asked if it is going to be an item song, and I was heartbroken when I came to know that I had been taken for granted,” she said. Manisha added, "I had a good rapport with Venkat Prabhu sir. And I was told by him that my role would change the course of the story in the film."

Manisha will next be seen in the movie Oru Kuppai Kadhai which is helmed by Kaali Rangasamy and is likely to release in January end or February. The film will see her playing the role of a tea plucker in Valparai. She hopes that the flick will give her the needed recognition.
