    Merkku Thodarchi Malai Brought New York Indian Film Festival Attendees To Tears

    Mega star Vijay Sethupathi has shown once again that he is more than just an actor. He ventured into the production territory and proved that he is capable of much more. His maiden production titled ‘Merkku Thodarchi Mala’ premiered at the New York Indian Film Festival where it completely swayed the audiences.

    Directed by Lenin Bharathi, the flick tells the story of poor laborers who live on the hills of the western ghat in the Tamil Nadu-Kerala borders. According to the director, the audiences, consisting of Americans and Indians, were left in tears. The movie stars Gayathri Krishna, Antony, Abu Valayankulam and Anthony vathiyar, among others.

    ‘Merkku Thodarchi Mala’ was Lenin’s directorial debut and looks like it was a big one. Vijay Sethupathi on the other hand, will now be venturing into the writing territory. He will be writing the screenplay and dialogues for one of his upcoming films. He will also act in the project which will be directed by Biju Vishawanath.
