The genre of the season for Kollywood fans is horror, where many makers are introducing them with tinge of comedy in it. Director Naveen KBB is also set with his horror-thriller Uthra, but it has more to offer than a chill down the spine.

The movie inquires about some practices widely accepted in our society. "Uthra is a ghost movie sans a ghost that also questions few beliefs in the society. A case in point is death. Why is death considered a bad omen? After all, all those who are born in the world, have to die one day. So, why does a person's value diminish after death? The climax scene portrays this squabble between God and a character in the movie", said filmmaker.

It will be a story about six college students who come across a ghost while on their trip to Korangani village. The flick will question why a good ghost cannot enter the premises, whereas bad souls who are alive can. The maker added the sequence will be one of the highlight in the flick.
