The finalist of Naalaya Iyakkunar, Season 4, Ashok, has launched the first look poster of his flick, Peechaankai, and it’s easily controversial. The poster depicts the lead without any clothes and covering his private with his left hand. Interestingly, the meaning of Peechaankai, is also the left hand.

"We did think of calling it Idadhukai or even Allakkai, but they didn't have the striking quality of this title", said the maker. On being asked about the striking similarity with Aamir Khan’s poster of PK, Ashok admitted, "It was a conscious decision to rip-off the poster design of PK. So as to pun on the alien aspect in PK. Here, the hero's hand acts like an alien. That is why the tagline of the film is 'Alien handed'. Plot-wise, there is no similarity between the two films".

Peechaankai is a dark comedy, and deals with left-handed pickpocketer, but after an accident, he suffers this rare medical condition called the Alien Hand Syndrome. Earlier, Ashok had made a 30-minute short film on the same storyline.
