'Puli' Passes Censor Test With ‘U’

The upcoming fantasy-adventure of Ilayathalapathi Vijay, ‘Puli’, was censored on Sept. 15. The movie has received a ‘U’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. Thus, it will be accessible to audience of all the age groups. This has become the ninth film in a row for Vijay that passed the censor test a ‘U’ certificate.   

The producers Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar must have got delighted with the news. The movie that is made on a very large budget would now be entitled for a 30% entertainment tax freedom granted by the Tamil Nadu Government. The movie is slated to be released on Oct. 1. 

The mega budget movie, featuring Vijay in a dual ‘Puli’ will also have Sudeep, Sridevi, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Prabhu and Nandita Swetha in key roles. The flick has been written and directed by Chimbu Deven. The music of the movie has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
