"Everyone knows that he is a strong leader and able administrator. He is my well wisher and I am his well wisher. I wish him all the best for his future. All the time God should be always with him. I pray to God that whenever he thinks, whatever he thinks should happen," Rajinikanth had said after the meeting. News of the actor shaking hands and hugging Modi made the headlines a month ago.

While speaking to the media people, Rajinikanth had said that "This is not a political meeting. When Modi ji visited me when I was hospitalised, I had invited him to have a cup of tea with me whenever he came to Chennai. So he has come now." Narendra Modi thundered to victory on May 16 in Lokshabha election and sent an invitation to Rajnikanth for the swearing-in ceremony.
