    Rajinikanth Pays Tribute To Balakumaran

    Tamil writer and author died yesterday on May 15. The whole Kollywood industry is mourning his death. Talking about his death, superstar Rajinikanth said that the writer made Baasha a blockbuster. Baasha starred Rajinikanth and Nagma in lead roles. Helmed by Suresh Krissna, the dialogues for the film were written by Balakumaran.



    Superstar Rajini said, “Balakumaran is my close friend. This is an irreparable loss to the literary world. His powerful dialogues were huge reasons for Baasha’s big success. I tried to rope him in for some of my other movies as well. But he politely refused to say he is inclined towards literature and spiritualism”.



    Balakumaran was bestowed with Kalaimamani from the government of Tamil Nadu. The other films that the writer penned scripts for are Jeans, Mugavari, Citizen, Manmadhan and Pudhpettai. He was also awarded for his contribution to Kamal Haasan ’s  Guna and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for best dialogue writer for Shankar’s  Kaadhalan.
