Rajinikanth to Play Tipu Sultan?

According to the latest news, superstar Rajinikanth will be seen playing Tipu Sultan in his next project. Tipu Sultan, also known as Tiger of Mysore, was one of the bravest South Indian rulers. He, on his own challenged the British government and bravely fought with them. 

Rajinikanth is currently busy shooting his upcoming movie titled ‘Kabali’. It is a mob film written and directed by Pa. Ranjith. The actor will reportedly start his new project after finishing this movie with Ranjith. According to the information, the filmmaker behind Rajinikanths’s next magnum project is politician Mr. Ashok Kheny.

Speaking about his most ambitious project, ‘Tipu Sultan’, Kheny stated, "Yes it is true I am planning to cast Superstar Rajinikanth in my upcoming biopic", he further added, "I had earlier contacted Rajini sir but regrettably he was not well hence we could not discuss the project in details. Nevertheless I will keep pursuing him and shall meet him soon to discuss about this historical project that will bring name and fame for Karnataka".
