'Sangamithra' Will Release In Late 2018 Or Early 2019

Director Sundar.C's upcoming film 'Sangamithra' has been in the news for quite some time. First much was talked about Shruti Haasan’s rigorous training in sword fighting. She plays the role of a warrior princess in the movie. And then the flick was making news for getting launched at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France.

The film which is believed to be the costliest Indian movie has been launched at the Film Festival. It was said that the makers will begin shooting for the movie in later half of 2017 and plan to release at the end of 2018 or early 2019. However, the pre-production work of the flick is still underway for nearly a year.

Jayam Ravi and Arya have been roped in to play important male characters. For his character, Ravi was required to train in horse riding, while Arya was required to work on his body. The movie has been produced by Thenandal Studios Limited. A.R Rahman will give the music.
