Sivakarthikeyan Likely To Play Lead In ‘Charlie’ Remake

It is known that hit Mollywood film ‘Charlie’ starring Dulquer Salmaan will be remade in Tamil. Many names were being linked with the role of Charie in the film. Now, the lead actor for the remake of the Malayalam romantic film has been almost finalized.

According to reports, Sivakarthikeyan is likely to reprise the role of Dulquer’s Charlie in the flick. However, no official announcement has been made regarding his involvement. Speculations are that he is the frontrunner to play lead in the Tamil version of the Martin Prakkat directorial.

Sivakarthikeyan‘s last offering ‘Rajini Murugan’ did a great business at the box office and this increases his chance of being roped in.  Siddharth and Vijay Sethupathi are the other contenders who could play Charlie in the film. Speculations are rife that Parvathy, who played the female lead in the original version, will be retained by the makers for the remake as well.
