Sudeep’s Cutout Beats Vijay’s in Bangalore

Known for his roles in Kannada movies like Ranna, Eega and Maanikya, Sudeep plays the antagonist in the recently released Puli. He faces Tamil mega star Vijay who plays the lead in the film. The movie is directed by Chimbu Deven and falls under the fantasy-adventure genre.

The movie received a great feedback from the fans in Bangalore who came in with a lot of enthusiasm and cheer for both the actors. There were large cutouts of both actors and surprisingly, Sudeep’s cutout was taller than Vijay’s. It also had more garlands around it. What does this say about the performance by the two actors? Did Sudeep’s performance shadow Vijay’s? Or was it just the general love for Sudeep by fans in Bangalore?

Puli was released yesterday on October 1 and stars Sridevi, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Prabhu and Nandita Swetha, along with Sudeep and Vijay. The music has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Puli is Vijay’s most expensive film to date.
