T Rajendar Roped For A Unique Number In Koothan

Director Venky AL is coming up with a dance-based musical film Koothan which stars debutant Rajkumar in the lead. The film’s music has been composed by Balz G. And now we have heard that the composer has signed in the versatile personality T Rajendar for the single, Monkistha Kinkistha.

"When we first approached TR sir for the song, he did not agree. But once he heard the tune, he was happy and told us that the tune and the lyrics are so catchy that it would be a hit irrespective of who sang it. However, I told him that if he did not sing it, we wouldn't consider recording it with someone else,” said Balz G.

He added, "The song is a kuthu number with Arabian and Latin influences. TR had a sore throat on the day of the recording and still sang with enthusiasm. The song also features Super Singer participants Shenbagaraj and Sajini, and has been written by Rokesh, who wrote the chartbuster Dangamari".

The film features choreographer-actor Nagendra Prasad in a negative role. A few days ago, it was reported that S Aishwarya, who has produced movies such as Karuppan, Yennai Arinthal and Vedhalam, and actress Remya Nambeesan have also lent their voices for the movie.
