Telugu Blockbuster Pelli Choopulu To Have A Tamil Remake

Fans, here’s some good news! Gautham Menon has secured the Tamil remake rights of Telugu blockbuster film Pelli Choopulu. Now that the remake is on the cards, speculations about the cast of the film are doing rounds. A confirmation announcement has been rolled out that Tamannaah will play a lead role in the film, while the male lead has yet not been decided.

The makers were zeroing in on Nivin Pauly for reprising Vijay Deverakonda’s role in Tamil remake. However, the talks ended and the latest news is that Vaibhav Reddy has been offered the role. During an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, Vaibhav says, “It is true that I was considered for the movie. I even gave a screen-test for the remake. There haven’t been any talks further.”

Udhayanidhi Stalin was also considered for the same role but now the makers are showing interest in bringing Vishnu Vishal on board for this role. Meanwhile, Vaibhav Reddy, whose cinematic timeline is inundated with offers in Telugu, might be seen essaying a grey character in director Sukumar’s Telugu film featuring Ram Charan Teja and Samantha in the lead roles.
