    Thalapathy 61: Vijay to play three roles in his next film, one of them being a magician

    Tamil superstar Vijay has reunited with Theri director Atlee for yet-untitled upcoming project which is currently being shot in exotic European locales. We had already reported that the film features Vijay in triple roles for the first time in his career. Apparently, as part of these roles he will be seen playing a panchayat head, a doctor and a magician. It has also been clarified by reliable sources close to the team that he doesn’t play a Sikh character and a police officer, as reported by a section of media.




    As the panchayat head, Vijay will be seen sporting twirled mustache and he will be paired with Nithya Menen. The portion featuring the panchayat head represent 1980s and it was shot first when the project when on the floors. It has also been learnt that the star’s comic timing will be brought forth in the role of a magician, who will evoke laughter and lighten up the mood of them film.

    Tentatively titled Thalapathy 61, the film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and SJ Suryah in pivotal roles. Produced by Sri Thenandal Films, the movie has music composed by AR Rahman and cinematography by GK Vishnu. The screenplay is jointly written by Vijayendra Prasad of Baahubali fame, Ramanagiri Vaasan and Atlee.
