Thalapathy Remake Not For Real?

Kollywood fans were really hoping that the latest buzz of Thalapathy remake was true. The speculations were rife that critically acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam is working on the sequel to Rajinikanth and Mammoootty starrer flick, where the stars will be replaced by Vijay and Vikram, this time around. However, now what we hear is that the story is not real.

The source close to Mani’s team revealed that with several projects in pipeline, the Roja director hardly has any time to start this project. However, he hinted that the rumours might have caught the wind, after Vikram’s recent visit to Mani’s office.

On a related note, veteran filmmaker’s assistant Bejoy Nambiar, who is presently working on remake of Agni Natchathiram, in Hindi, is considering Thalapathy remake for Bollywood too. Mani Ratnam is set to release his romantic flick, Kaatru Veliyidai, next month.
