    Vijay’s last offering ‘Theri’ rocked the box offices when it released last month. The film managed to pull crowds into the theatres in its initial weeks and is still holding on to major number of screens despite the release of ‘24’. Reportedly, the film has grossed over Rs. 10 crore in a period of one month in Chennai alone.

    Reports suggest that the flick has collected over Rs. 11 crore from April 14 to May 15. Last weekend, the Atlee directorial did a business of Rs.11,75,160 in Chennai. Also, an occupancy of around 80 percent was reported in the fifth week of the action entertainer.

    ‘Theri’ has already been declared as the biggest hit of Vijay’s career. It collected over Rs. 1 crore on its opening day in Chennai alone. It also bettered the record of Rajinikanth’s ‘Enthiran’ by collecting a distributor's share of Rs.55 crore alone in Tamil Nadu. It is still ruling the box office and has put the Thalaivaa actor back on track.
