Updates On Kamal Haasan’s ‘Sabaash Naidu’

Kamal Haasan’s upcoming spy comedy-adventure ‘Sabaash Naidu’ had to be put on hold last year after Haasan slipped and fell from the stairs at his Chennai office, and ended up with a fractured leg, for which he also had to undergo surgery at Apollo Hospitals. The recent development about the trilingual comedy is that it hasn’t been shelved. The movie is a spin-off of the famous character Balram Naidu from Haasan's ‘Dasavatharam’.

A source from the flick’s unit was quoted as saying, “The project is definitely not shelved. It's taking time to get back on floors because Kamal sir is not fully healed, and has a limp. It has been postponed indefinitely for now as it can't be said certainly when it will resume”.

“Even if the team decides to resume shooting from next week, it will still take time because visas have to be arranged for the American crew, and that will easily take another six-eight weeks. Moreover, the rest of the Indian cast is busy with their other commitments. It's not going to be easy to get dates from them”, the source added.

The movie will simultaneously be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja is responsible for background score of the flick.
