A film production company Plaintiff Magnum Rays has claimed that the makers of Vaalu had sold the distribution rights to them in 2013. According to the company, the film was scheduled to release on July 17 through another distribution company. Following to which, the Madras High Court granted an interim stay on the scheduled release of Vaalu.
