Vaibhavi Shandilya May Star With Santhanam In Server Sundaram

Speculations are rife that director Anand Balki has roped in Marathi theatre artist Vaibhavi Shandilya to play the female lead in his upcoming Tamil comedy flick Server Sundaram. Comedian turned actor N. Santhanam, the protagonist of the film, is reportedly playing the role of a chef. The movie also features Bijesh, grandson of the renowned humorist Nagesh, in the second lead.

The filmmaker has recently said, “We were looking for a female lead for the past couple of months. We had considered leading heroines as well. But now we have finalised Vaibhavi, who will be paired opposite Santhanam”. The director also revealed that the adorable beauty will play the role of a college girl in the movie. Balki further confirmed the news saying, “Vaibhavi is a Marathi theatre artiste. Having come from a theatre background, she performed well in the audition. We have already begun shooting for the film and Vaibhavi will join us later this month”.

If sources are to be believed, the director also plans to shoot a live city college cultural event. He stated, “As this is a college subject, we have a cultural sequence that needs to be shot. So, we are planning to shoot the scene live in a city college culturals. We have plans to shoot at live locations for other sequences, too”.

Reportedly, a photo session by G Venkat Ram will be held on March 18 in Chennai. Schedule for the forthcoming film is expected to begin from March 28. Soundtrack album and background score for the movie are contributed by Santhosh Narayanan.
