Vijay 60 US Rights Sold For Mammoth Price

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's last released film 'Theri’ didn’t only do well in India but also went on to become the biggest hit in the actor’s career at the North American box office, where the flick joined the million-dollar club. The action movie successfully struck a chord with audiences from the United States, Canada, Australia and other nations. If recent reports are to be trusted, American distribution rights for Vijay’s next 'Bairavaa' has been acquired for a whooping amount.

8K Miles Media in association with B&B Entertainment and Tentkotta has acquired the rights to release the movie across the United States of America. According to trade sources, the amount at which the USA rights have been brought is the highest price paid for a Tamil film not starring superstar Rajinikanth. The upcoming action film is scheduled for a Pongal 2017 release.

‘Bairavaa’ is helmed and penned by Bharathan, and produced by Vijaya Productions. The movie also stars Keerthy Suresh in the lead role along with Vijay. Sathish and Jagapathi Babu, amongst others, will be seen playing supporting roles.
