Vijay Awards: Shah Rukh Khan to take part in the ceremony

This is a big time in the history of prestigious Vijay Awards which will be held for the seventh time this year. King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan has accepted an invitation to be part of the show, to be held on Saturday.

A spokesperson from the awards team confirmed, "SRK agreed to be part of the award function after a representative from Star Vijay team flew down to Mumbai Wednesday and invited him personally.” It is being said that SRK will give away some awards to the winners and he will also get a special award at the gala evening.

SRK will also get an exclusive opportunity to promote his film Chennai Express through the awards show as it enjoys a special connection with the state. The film has been extensively shot in and around Tamil Nadu. Vijay Awards is one of the most honourable awards which acknowledge the best talents in Tamil cinema.
