Vijay Sethupathi Replaced By Ameer In Vada Chennai

Ever since director Vetrimaaran announced his much ambitious project Vada Chennai, it has gone through numerous changes. Earlier, Samantha was approached to play the female lead, however later it was heard that she has been replaced by Amala Paul as she had prior commitments. And then we heard that Amala Paul too rejected the movie and Aishwarya Rajesh was roped in to star opposite Dhanush, who will be playing the role of a gangster.

Fans became more interested in the movie when Dhanush announced that Vijay Sethupathi would be doing a cameo. But to their dismay, Vijay too opted out of the film as it was getting delayed. And now director-actor Ameer has been signed in as his replacement.

“Vetrimaaran and his team felt that Ameer would be able to ace this role, which is significant to the story and thus chose him to be part of Vada Chennai. He is expected to join the shoot from the next schedule”, revealed a source. Besides, the film will also feature Daniel Balaji and Samuthirakani in important roles.
