Vishal’s ‘Marudhu’ May Clash With Vijay’s ‘Theri’

Few days back it was reported that Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Theri’ might not clash with Suriya’s ‘24’ at the box office on April 14. However no official announcement was made regarding the postponement of any of the films. Now another film has joined the race for the Tamil New Year.

According to reports, Vishal’s film forthcoming film with director Muthiah, ‘Marudhu’ has joined the race for Tamil New Year. Speculations are rife that the flick may hit the theatre screens on April 14. If reports turn out to be true, then this will be the third time that a Vishal film will directly clash with Vijay’s film at the box office.

It can be recalled that back in 2007, Vishal’s ‘Thaamirabharani’ was released with Vijay’s ‘Pokkiri’. And in 2014, Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’ locked horns with Vishal’s ‘Poojai’. Also, their ‘Paayum Puli’ and ‘Puli’ also released within few weeks gap. It will be interesting to see whether this time they face off each other on April 14 or not.
