Akhil Akkineni Won’t Cut Down His Fee Despite Failure of His Debut Film

Akhil Akkineni’s debut film ‘Akhil: The Power of Jua’ bombed at the box office. The V.V. Vinayak directorial failed to impress the audiences who were expecting a lot from the maiden film of Nagarjuna’s son. The film was criticised for its weak plot and poor direction. But nobody criticised the acting of the star son.

Reports suggest that despite the major failure of his debut film, Akhil has decided not to compromise on his remuneration. Sources close to the actor reveal that he has decided to hike his pay to Rs. 8 crore per film. Actor-producer Nithin paid him Rs. 7 crore to him for ‘Akhil: The Power of Jua’.

His decision of not cutting down on his fee has raised many eyebrows in the film industry. Currently, he is being linked with Krish and Puri Jagannadh. It will be interesting to see which director will helm the nest venture of Akhil and who will be bankrolling it.
