Filmmaker Mahi V. Raghav Reveals Why He Directed ‘Anando Brahma’ In Telugu

Filmmaker Mahi V. Raghav is on cloud nine with the success of his latest directorial ‘Anando Brahma’. The movie was been received well by both critics and the audience of Tollywood. The horror movie was made on a small budget and starred Taapsee Pannu.

Previously, the director helmed Bollywood movie Paathshala which tanked at the box-office. Mahi was recently quoted as saying, “I don’t need to wait three years again to make another film”. He further added, “Once you are hit hard with a failure like Paathshala, you become fearful and cautious. If not for yourself, you want to prove a point to the people who believe in you. And I think that really helped bring out this film”.

‘Anando Brahma’ has a funny scenario in which ghosts fear humans. On being asked whether he is looking forward to make the movie in other languages, the director was quoted as saying, “I would love to direct this film in Hindi. In fact, the initial idea was always to make the film in Hindi. But I wanted to first make it in Telugu because after my earlier failure, I first needed people to believe in my capabilities. That’s how ‘Anando Brahma’ happened”.
