Gautami Putra Satakarni A Fiction Movie?

Gautami Putra Satakarni was the much awaited film of Natasimha Balakrishna and created frenzy among the fans much before its release. Balakrishna’s 100^th movie released on January 12 this year. The movie passed with flying colours at the box-office and has got an exceptional response from the Telugus and from people abroad too.

The movie has now landed itself into a mess. If reports are to be believed, people are accusing the film for not being a historical one but a fictional film. These are serious allegations as the movie was hyped as a historic movie that nobody knows about.

Coming clean on it, the director of the movie has now opened up about the allegations. He said, “I don’t want to start a discussion and make somebody famous right now. We are not bigger than Kavisamrat Viswanatha Satyanarayana, who has written about Satakarni in his book Andhra Prasasthi decades back. I felt that Satakarni is a Telugu person and made the film. If you like the film, appreciate it; it’s not the time to degrade ourselves”.

However, the director added that because he didn’t get full knowledge of the king Satakarni, he added some fiction to make it cinematic. Well, we leave this to the fans to the fans to decide how they find the find.
