I Am Sure This Role Will Bring Out The Hidden Side Of Me: Rashmika Mandanna On Playing A Cricketer

Rashmika Mandanna made her acting debut with Kannada film, Kirik Party. The film fetched her SIIMA Award for Best Debut Actress. She has shown her acting prowess with just 4 four films. She made her Telugu debut with a romantic comedy film Chalo this year along with Naga Shaurya.

Her next film in Tollywood is Dear Comrade. The actress will be playing the role of a cricketer in the film. If reports are to be believed, the actress has started prepping up for the role at a cricket academy in Hyderabad. The actress said, “When I was initially told that I would play a cricketer, I was surprised and apprehensive, but the director instilled the confidence in me to play the part. So far I have been playing the girl-next-door roles, but I am sure this role will bring out the hidden and sportive side of me”.

She further added, “I was always fascinated with basketball. I have been learning cricket from a coach at a city cricket club here regularly to play my part. Cricket is getting addictive! After seeing a video of my practice, my husband was surprised”. Dear Comrade is being helmed by Bharat Kamma. It also stars Vijay Deverakonda .
