Kamal announces date of this year’s MEBC

Tollywood megastar Kamal Haasan has announced yesterday that this year’s Media and Entertainment Business Conclave (MEBC) will be held in Chennai on October 16 and 17. Besides industry big-wigs like Mohanlal, Mammootty, Dileep, Jayaram and some Bollywood stalwarts, Barrie Osborne, Oscar-winning producer ofThe Lord of the Rings,is also expected to attend the event.

Kamal, the chairman of MEBC -- an annual event by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), informed, “We are happy to announce the event on Mahatma Gandhi's birthday". He added, "Apart from rapidly evolving into one of the most prestigious platforms for the sector in the country, MEBC is a powerhouse of knowledge, ideas and best practices with informative sessions by industry stalwarts on subjects related to the entire canvas of the media and entertainment industry". During the two-day event many workshops and sessions on various aspects of cinema and entertainment, including a workshop on the making ofEnthiran, will be held.
