Makers Of Savitri Biopic ‘Mahanati’ Release Movie's Logo On Late Actress's Birthday

Legendary late actress Savitri was a very remarkable actress and had starred in many movies such as Samsaram, Pathala Bhairavi and Roopavati. Filmmaker Nag Ashwin is helming a biopic on the actress and the biopic has been titled as ‘Mahanati’. The movie will star Keerthy Suresh , Samantha Akkineni, Dulquer Salman, Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles.

The shooting of the movie began in May 2017. ‘Mahanati’ is slated to release on March 29, 2018. Recently, in order to celebrate the late actress Savitri’s birthday, the makers of the movie released its title logo. The lead character of ‘Savitri’ will be portrayed by Keerthy Suresh and Dulquer Salmaan will be portraying the character of the husband of the late actress Gemini Ganesan.

A source was quoted as saying, “The Maya Bazar episode, which they shot on a big set, has come out very well. Now, they are planning to erect two more sets related to the films Devadasu and Appuchesi Pappukoodu. But we don’t know who is playing NTR and ANR in those films”. ‘Mahanati’ is bankrolled by Swapna Dutt.
